Track Detailing
Deep-cleaned window tracks free of dirt, debris, and dead bugs.
Overview
Window tracks are where a house quietly collects a decade of neglect. Every time a window opens, grit falls into the channel.
It's not only a looks problem. Packed tracks block the weep holes that let rainwater drain out of the frame, and blocked weep holes push water into the sill and eventually the wall.

What's included
- ✓Every accessible track vacuumed to lift loose grit, sand and insect debris
- ✓Compacted grime scrubbed out of the channel with brushes and detail tools
- ✓Corners and weep holes cleared by hand, the spots a vacuum can't reach
- ✓Sliding door tracks and patio door channels detailed
- ✓Sill and stool wiped clean where debris has migrated
- ✓Tracks left dry, not damp, so dust doesn't immediately re-stick
Before & after

Our process
- 1
Open and assess
Sashes are opened or tilted in and screens removed so the full channel is visible, and we note any damaged hardware before we start.
- 2
Vacuum the loose layer
Dry debris, sand, leaf bits, dead insects, pet hair, is vacuumed out first so we're not spreading mud when water goes in.
- 3
Scrub the compacted grime
The compacted layer in the channel is worked loose with detail brushes and a cleaning solution safe for vinyl, aluminum and wood frames.
- 4
Detail the corners and weep holes
Corners are cleaned by hand, and every weep hole is cleared so rainwater can drain out of the frame the way it was designed to.
- 5
Dry and test
Tracks are wiped fully dry, sashes are opened and closed to confirm smooth travel, and screens go back in place.
